Put it On Paper

Whether its a cheesy pick up line, trivial fact, or simply your opinion it all seems so much more real when written on paper, doesn't it?  Our last "Intercambio" of the season gave everyone a chance to practice "coming to terms" with these realities, or rather, just a chance to share them with others.  We were an unbolted group with conversation in Spanish, English, and Catalan.  Topics ranged from love, travel, hope, secrets and salads.  The quick scribbles on "papelitas" really helped people to open up.  A personal favorite : I like having sex but usually end up making love. Oh my.... I have a telephone number ready for whomever wrote that one.   

Though more importantly, we'd like offer a huge THANK YOU!  The donation collected from our "Intercambioians" and the BCN Cafe will help make an impact on the city of Barcelona. More specifically, The Association of DJs CONTRA LA FAM has informed us that our donation alone will go towards either paying for a workshop leader or a new printer or a new camera. Super!super!  

Creating opportunities for creating art is beautiful and doing it while having fun is even more gorgeous.  One last thank you to our live DJ, Jalud - you rocked!  And now I'm off to try and find the one who scribed I want to be a National Geographic correspondent because well, me too! Why not?  Though watch out I'm pretty competitive.
